For lifters who are done guessing
Training advice is scattered, outdated, trend-driven, or just plain wrong. MyoMetrix is my response.
What happened
Most training advice skips the obvious:
- Is an exercise truly isolating the target muscle, or bleeding effort into other movers?
- Is it stable enough to actually push?
- Can it scale long-term? (i’m looking at you, dumbbell lateral raises)
- Will your joints still tolerate it after years of progression?
- Is it accessible beyond a perfect gym setup, or is it locked to rare equipment?
I was tired of piecing things together from YouTube, Reddit, and ChatGPT chats.
I’ve spent over a decade testing training systems, studying hypertrophy research, and running experiments in my own gym.
I wasted time on gimmicks, cookie-cutter programs, and bad science that didn’t translate into results. This site exists to cut through the noise and show exactly what works for muscle growth.
What this is
MyoMetrix is a ranking engine for hypertrophy training.
Every exercise is scored out of five across criteria that actually matter for muscle growth:
- Gains per Effort
- Mind-Muscle Connection
- joint Friendliness
- Progression Ceiling
- Resistance Curve Quality
- Stability Requirement
- Equipment Accessibility
- Setup Friction
- ROM Clarity
You’ll find the most effective movements for every major muscle group. You’ll see what to drop, what to keep, and what actually deserves a place in your program.
Hey, I'm Izzy
Chemical engineer by training. Web designer by trade. Lifter by obsession.
I’ve been deep in health science and performance research for over a decade—outside of any institution, and far beyond what most people touch.
I’ve spent years testing protocols on my own time, building systems to make sense of scattered evidence—and trying to separate what actually works from what just sounds good.
My entire life runs on systems: from hypertrophy training and zone 2 cardio, to sleep, skincare, and supplementation—tracked, tested, and dialed in.
MyoMetrix was born out of frustration. I got tired of bloated advice, scattered information, and vague answers.
So I did what I do best:
I built a system.
MyoMetrix is the site I wish existed years ago. One that ranks what actually works and doesn’t waste your time. Just the lifts that stand up to the data and to years under the bar.
